Assists low-income individuals and families to permanently reduce their energy consumptions and increase energy efficiencies. Energy Audits are conducted to determine need for insulation, weather-stripping, air sealing, wrap pipes, and replacement of windows. AMP examines electrical use in the home (computerized audit) and replaces light bulbs, small appliances and refrigerators, if they are determined to be inefficient. Must meet income eligibility guidelines. Serves residents from the towns of Johnston, North Providence, Smithfield, Burrillville, and Glocester.

Energy conservation audits to identify energy consumption from appliances, lighting, water heaters, waterbeds, refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers and dryers, air conditioners, portable space heaters ovens and ranges and lights. Based upon findings of audits, participants may be provided with free compact fluorescent lighting, refrigerators and freezers, water saving devices and retrofit mattresses for waterbeds. Available to customers of National Grid who are certified with a low income rate and/or determined to be financially eligible. Tri-Town’s Appliance Management Program services residents of Johnston, North Providence, Smithfield, Burrillville, North Smithfield and Glocester.

Provides temporary financial assistance, relocation and stabilization services to individuals and families who are homeless or could be homeless without this assistance. HPRP provides intensive case management, landlord/tenant counseling, housing search and placement, legal assistance and financial counseling. Financial assistance may include short-term rental assistance, rental arrearage, utilities, security deposits or moving costs.
