For individuals seeking post secondary or advanced training opportunities, we offer assistance with career exploration, college readiness assessment, applications, financial aid forms, class selection, study and research skills, and college level academic preparation.

A six to eight week program operated between June and August for youth ages 14 -24. The program provides youth with work experience opportunities in local businesses, public facilities and non-profit agencies. Work experiences provide youth with hands-on opportunities to develop the skills they will need upon entering the work force. Youth receive a stipend or wage and are required to attain certain benchmarks relative to their job performance. Youth also participate in a variety of career and personal development activities such as community service projects, field trips to local business and civic events, exposure to post secondary education and training opportunities, and guest speakers from key RI industries.

Provides financial literacy and education services to youth and adults ages 14 and up. Youth receive age appropriate training through the YouthLinks Program and adults access services through Tri-Town’s Emergency Services Department, Homelessness Prevention Program, or Tax Preparation Program. The curriculum, based on the FDIC;s Smart Money Program, includes budgeting, banking basics, credit and lenders, debt consolidation, consumer protection and fraud, home ownership and retirement planning. Provides free tax preparation assistance and free electronic filing of state and federal income tax returns, including applying for the Earned Income Tax Credit and other credits.
