Health Center Services No one is ever denied service due to inability to pay. The Health Center accepts third party insurance and RIte Care. A sliding fee scale is available to residents of Johnston, North Providence, Smithfield, North Smithfield, Glocester, and Burrillville, according to income. 24 Hour On-Call Emergency Service is available seven (7) days per week. Hospital Admitting Privileges are provided through Memorial Hospital, Women and Infants Hospital, and Rhode Island Hospital. Tri-Town is a founding member of the Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island (along with the other 13 community health centers statewide). The Health Center is licensed through the Rhode Island Department of Health, is JCAHO Accredited and has been designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), as a Medically Underserved Population (MUP), through the Federal Bureau of Primary Care.

Pediatrics, Family Resource Counseling, Pre-Natal Care, Health Risk Assessment, Family Medicine, Women’s Cancer Screening Program, Family Planning, Laboratory Testing, Internal Medicine, Diabetes Screening and Management, HIV/AIDS Testing and Counseling, Immunization Clinic, Diabetes Outpatient Education Program, Maternal and Child Health, Diabetes Screening and Management, Pharmaceutical Assistance, Flu Clinic/Pneumonia Vaccines.

Behavioral Health Center (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment and Counseling) Substance Abuse Outpatient Counseling and Treatment, Mental Health Counseling and Treatment Program, Functional Family Therapy; Tobacco Treatment and Counseling (including Nicotine Replacement Therapy). Referrals are accepted on a statewide basis but priority is given to Johnston, North Providence, Smithfield, North Smithfield, Burrillville, and Glocester residents. All third party insurance including NHPRI and Rite Care accepted. Self-Pay and Sliding Scale Fee is available to all patients. No one is denied.

Family Planning Program Provides CONFIDENTIAL health visits for physicals, PAP smears, STD screening, and other reproductive-related issues. Provides free contraceptives including oral, Depo-Provera, and patches. Men and woman of reproductive age who are uninsured or underinsure.

Women’s Cancer Screening Program Provides enrollment, screening and treatment for breast and cervical cancer. Offers free mammograms, PAP testing and office visits for uninsured women. State-Wide program for woman between the ages of 40 to 64.
